I have been making a range of upcycled chart clothing with bright Alaskan-themed artwork and materials. My designs add a touch of whimsy to these hard-working fashion items.
It has been a fun winter of sewing as I upcycle cahrtts using Alaskan fabrics and my screen printing designs to make fabulous and unique Alaskan fashion items. Cahrtts are durable even the second time around but add some unique designs, and fabrics that reflect Alaska for truly unique apparel.
I like these grey ones and chose them for myself. the patterns are subtle and the old fashioned fabric is one of the prettiest I have come across. The pants re my go to for markets, camping, four wheeling and fishing. Despite my reccommendation of washing sparingly these fabulous pants have yet to show signs of fade in the designs despite frequent washes due to being on the go- it's summer time afterall!
I am so pleased with the way the spray design of Fireweed is working on these pants. I also love the non-traditional Fireweed print with hints of red in the fabric. I like the feedback that these original fit pants are less stiff than the carpetners, but also durable and comfortable. They certainly look great on this Alaska Girl.
